Job Description:
CORE FUNCTIONS OF PLUMBERS • Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvents, caulking, soldering, brazing, Propressing, or welding equipment. • Fill pipes or plumbing fixtures with water or air and observe pressure gauges to detect and locate leaks. • Review blueprints, know building codes and review specifications to determine work details and procedures. • Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes, and fixtures in structures, using measuring instruments such as rulers, lasers, and levels. • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles, using hand and power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines, and pipe-bending machines. • Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, water heaters, and fixtures such as, but not limited to sinks and toilets, using hand and power tools. • Cut openings in structures to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings, using hand and power tools. • Install underground storm, sanitary and water piping systems and extend piping to connect fixtures and plumbing to these systems. • Install oxygen and medical gas if licensed to do so. • Install plumbing inside, outside, on the floor level, below grade, and in the ceiling. • Other duties as assigned. CORE FUNCTIONS OF FOREMAN / SUPERINTENDENT • Responsible for the quality installation and project administration on their project(s) from assignment through completion. • Ensure their Project Manager is accurately and fully informed of project activities through the use of various project reports. • Coordinate the day to day operations on the job site by: • Accurately managing the manpower on the job to complete all task in a timely manner while staying on budget. • Ensure all materials are on site prior to starting tasks beginning. • Attend all job site meetings to represent WRN. • Daily quality control. • Make sure all subs follow WRN rules and regulations. • Ensure the safety for all WRN employees and subs. Along with following the codes and regulations of your specific trade.
