Job Description:
For over 65 years, the Magnolia family of companies has been serving the residents and businesses of the Washington and Baltimore Metropolitan areas. Today the Magnolia Companies consist of Joseph J. Magnolia, Inc. and Magnolia Plumbing, Inc. and operate out of multiple locations, dispatching approximately 200 service and construction vehicles throughout the Washington and Baltimore Region. Joseph J. Magnolia’s (JJM) new construction division is looking for a CAD/BIM coordinator. This position is based out of our Laurel office. The role will require drawing/coordinating on a large variety of new construction projects based on information derived from MEP construction drawings. Typically drawing/coordination work includes 3d modeling of hydronic systems, underground utilities, plumbing, storm drain and potable water systems. Job Responsibilities: Maintaining project files Preparing documents and reports Shop drawing review and deposition Data and document entry into various platform CAD/Revit Assistant management as directed System load calculations Strong knowledge of plumbing/ piping Spool drawings Read and interrupt project specifications and submittals Requirements: Experience in the plumbing/mechanical/construction fields preferred 1+ years’ MEP design experience 1+ years’ CAD experience 5+ years’ job site/ field experience Navisworks experience Autocad Revit experience a plus Excellent written and verbal communication Compensation: Based on Experience Benefits: Competitive salary & paid time off Medical, Dental, Vision Life and Disability Insurance 401(k) with company match Employee Referral Program
